Lavender Hydrolat is ideal for all skin types. Lavender is known for its ability to regenerate damaged and thinned skin. Has soothing, refreshing and cooling actions. For everyday make-up removal and deep cleansing of the skin it is recommended to use ground oatmeal diluted with lavender water. When the air in the room is dry, you can use lavender to spray the face and neck during the day. It is also recommended for reducing or preventing inflammation of the skin during shaving, and for preventing ingrown hairs.
Lavender water is exceptionally useful for skin care while travelling. For example, in countries with a hot climate it can be used to soothe the skin after sunburn and insect bites and to relieve itching. Before applying a moisturiser or sunscreen it is recommended to moisten the skin with a mixture of lavender and cucumber water (70:30) in order to prevent windburn of the skin.
The regenerating properties of this hydrolat help prevent stretch marks, are useful in eczema and psoriasis and also slow down skin ageing. Lavender water helps restore shine and moisture to dull hair (rinse or spray on dry hair)
Lavender hydrolat is wonderful for children. When caring for newborns it can be added to the bath and used to cleanse the skin, in combination with chamomile. Use it to rinse cuts, scratches and wounds (including in adults). For irritability and fits of anger you can add lavender water to the bath or spray it directly on bed linen for better sleep. Relieves stress and mental fatigue and helps with disturbed daily rhythms. Suitable for hyperactive people and those who are sensitive to strong smells.
Use – Apply the hydrolat to cleansed skin of the face and neck and, without waiting for it to dry, apply a cream or oil; after the bath, and throughout the day, spray the hair.
