Action:
Antiseptic; bactericidal; deodorising; softens the skin; carminative; stimulates digestion; increases sexual activity (an aphrodisiac); tones the work of the heart; antispasmodic; antidepressant; toning; soothing; cytophylactic.
Effect on the mind:
Neroli oil is believed to help get rid of feelings of anxiety, stress and depression. Calms in a state of emotional tension, hysteria and shock. Instils a feeling of peace.
Effect on the body:
Being a tranquilliser, it affects the sympathetic nervous system and helps with insomnia, especially if the sleep disorder is caused by depression. Effective in neuralgia, headache and dizziness. It is believed to help get rid of yawning. The soothing properties of neroli oil help solve problems in the sexual sphere, so it can be classed as an aphrodisiac. Relieves emotional depression linked with premenstrual tension and some symptoms of the menopause, in particular irritability and tearfulness. Reduces the heartbeat, cleanses the blood and stimulates circulation, which lets neroli oil be considered a wonderful toning agent.
Effect on the skin:
Neroli essential oil has pronounced preventive properties, promotes the regeneration of skin cells and increases its elasticity. Especially useful for dry, sensitive and mature skin. However, it acts favourably on any skin, including in thread veins, scars and postnatal stretch marks. Neroli oil provides a certain protection from X-rays.

Orange, jasmine, ylang-ylang, lavender, lemon, palmarosa oil, pelargonium (geranium), rose, rosemary, sandalwood.
