Ginger Hydrolat — a natural toner for tone, cleansing and renewal of the skin
Ginger hydrolat (Zingiber officinale) is a 100% natural flower water obtained by steam distillation of fresh Indian ginger. The raw material is ripe ginger roots from regions of India where the plant is grown without chemicals. 🔗 Perfect combinations with ginger hydrolat
Ginger hydrolat is not only a stand-alone care product but also a powerful hydration phase in a multi-step beauty ritual. Thanks to its stimulating and toning properties, it works wonderfully in combination with other natural products:
For oily and combination skin:
- 💧 Clay (green, white, or ghassoul): ginger hydrolat is ideal for diluting clay masks, boosting their anti-inflammatory action and improving microcirculation.
- 🧴 Serums with niacinamide or zinc: apply them after hydrating with the hydrolat to reduce oily shine and minimise pores.
- 🌿 Sage, monarda or lovage hydrolats: blend well in toning mixes (for example 1:1), especially in summer.
For problem and sensitive skin:
- 🧪 A prior elbow-bend test is mandatory, because the active action of ginger may be too strong for reactive skin.
- 🌸 Lavender or chamomile hydrolat: soften the possible irritating effect of ginger while keeping the antiseptic action.
- 🧴 Creams with panthenol or allantoin: after the hydrolat they help soothe and hydrate the skin more deeply.
For skin tone and aroma care:
- 🌬 Mint essential oil or orange: enhances the toning effect of ginger hydrolat in the morning.
- 💆♀️ Face massage or scrubs with microgranules: use the hydrolat before and after the treatment to cleanse and cool the skin.
🔹 Ginger hydrolat is a flexible component that easily adapts to individual needs. It is important to test combinations gradually and choose only pH-compatible products. Want more recommendations for a specific protocol? Tell us your skin type 😉
